Blue Moon - The Lucium Project

The origins of Blue Moon

Here we go!

Blue Moon: The Lucium Project was born from the friendship of two Icehouse Members, Simon Mesnard and Juanjo Barcelo. They had the idea at the end of 2016, but it could only become a reality several months later. Juanjo is a skilled user of the Unity game engine: he worked on various projects on his own, and with Luminy Studios. He suggested this cooperative project to Simon, who eagerly accepted to write a scenario.

Currently the game is in a early stage of development and there are a lot of work to do. The whole part of the development is being made by Juanjo (including graphics and programming) but this project would have not been possible without the collaboration of several other people:

  • Author Simon Mesnard: he has written and supervised the project for a matter of consistency with the rest of the Black Cube series.

  • Music composer Python Blue: he is the person behind the wonderful sci-fi OST.

  • Illustrator John Carvajal and his girlfriend Britney: thanks to them we have an incredible voice acting in English.

In addition, The Icehouse collective supports me in many different ways.

And this is the presentation of the project, I hope to share more information very soon.

Stay tuned!

I worked so hard to get all four of them to the end safely, but then...

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
