The Return to Freddy's 2: Classic Recoded has released!

This is what I was cooking up in the meantime when this page was dead :gdnormal:

Read the article for all the changes from the OG TRTF 2.


  • Deltatime has been added. This makes the game run at the same speed regardless of FPS.

  • Discord Rich Presence has been added.

  • Remade the fullscreen to function like the FNaC But Better fullscreen.

  • New saving system that prevents you from using save file edit cheese.

  • Added a How to Play section (click the ? icon to access it) and an Options section (click the gear icon to access it) to the menu.

  • Most animatronic mechanics have been given a unique tweak, or even completely overhauled.

  • Animatronics are way more active on earlier nights.

  • The desk in the office is no longer having a seizure.

  • Added options for Perspective, V-Sync, and Anti-Aliasing. Perspective lets you toggle between the panorama effect seen in the original TRTF 2, the projection effect seen in TRTF 2 Reworked, or just completely off.

  • All animatronic AIs have been recoded from the ground up.

  • Animatronics can no longer overlap each other in the hall.

  • Dug now properly kills you.

  • The toxic meter looks slightly different in terms of color.

  • The audio lure can now be used in cam 03. (This is important for another character's mechanic!)

  • New presets.

  • Some animatronics that weren't in certain presets in the original game have been invited to certain presets to make them slightly harder.

  • Game-crashing events now take you to the menu instead.

  • Overall better coding.

This didn't take too long to make, and honestly I'm quite proud with how it turned out.

beta testing stage has advanced to v0.3. only 5 more characters and then this game will be out after some more beta testing.

(new characters programmed for this build are nightmare bonnie and chica)

hint at a new nightmarionne mechanic for 2.0

i havent explicitly stated this but 2.0 is meant to have more creative mechanics than the mechanics you already saw in 1.0 and make the game way more fun. (i fucking hate 1.0 now btw xdnt)

oh yeah btw i decided to overhaul the games mfa cus im not happy with its current state so bon-bons code is gone (itll be back sooner or later tho)

remade the header for 1.0, its not much but it should hopefully be more appealing than it was before lmao

this will not stay forever btw, when 2.0 comes out this WILL be replaced with the 2.0 header

ill probably redo the thumbnail when 2.0 comes out
