souls might not actually be souls but actually the player themselves and thats why kris usually rips their "soul" when nobody is looking to break free from the player maybe thats why chara suicided not only to the monsters to use her souls but to break free from the player and why asgore wanted to kill seven "souls" due to the fact he knows there are more players even gaster might be making jevil and spamton insane so they go kill the player! also the reason i thinks those hearts are players is because ralsei and queen talk about moving and controls sometimes

theory i made also fun fact: use the cell in chapter two and you hear "garbage noise" which is also a sound Gaster plays
