this game uses a lot of 3d graphics (it's all in the article)

flaganim.gif

here's a 3d rendered sprite of the empire's flag which hasn't been added ingame yet

image.png

here's a screenshot of the 3d model it was rendered from

templebg.png

here's what the background of the frigid caves temple looked like before its palette was compressed

image.png

here's the original 3d model the rock background texture was rendered from

image.png

this is the original model the town background was rendered from, with some really wonky geometry and textures because it was only meant to be seen from one angle

image.png

this is the original model of the save point, but unlike the others the model itself is actually used ingame instead of a 2d sprite derived from it

image.png

when the game was first envisioned it had a completely different art style that used a lot of monochrome blocky shapes and this was the main character, the name belle wasn't chosen yet though

image.png

this is the model of the wood log background in belle's house, it's actually just a plane with a wave modifier applied to it so it curves like that

image.png

this technically doesn't count since it's only a concept model and was never planned to appear ingame, it's of a late game location made to look like a kettle
