This is rather disheartening news. But, the jumpscares are turning out very tedious, and very difficult to make, nearly to the point where we’ve given up on them entirely.
This doesn’t necessarily mean the game is canceled, we would never cancel a game as promising as this one, over a small detail like this.
However we’ve nearly run out of options. So… I have a question for you all, hopefully you will give us an answer.
Would you accept the game without jumpscares, but simpler, (And more importantly: easier to make) death animations.
We really appreciate your input, we want to make a good game for you all, but it’s appearing that jumpscares are not an option we have.
We’d still like to incorporate them in a full release, or in an update post-release.
But, the game, at this point, will just take too long to make, should we have jumpscares.
[UPDATE]
Yuni Styles, the art asset designer for the game has just suggested the use of SFM (Source Film Maker).
This would elongate the time that it would take to make the jumpscares, however it would be much simpler and easier to animate. As well as turn out better animations.
Tell us your thought’s if you would like us to use this.
