Last 2 weeks, not really any updates again. Now, that first week I will admit did not have much development. That second week, however, definitely has.
So, progress update, the new "PURGATORY" gamemode is going very well! The main mechanics of it are complete, now it just needs more content and stuff.
For those who don't know about the Purgatory gamemode, it is a roguelike gamemode inspired by, of course, TOO MANY NIGHTS. It features penalties, bonuses and several playstyles just like TOO MANY NIGHTS does.
In order to make the Purgatory mode balanced with time, I shortened the nights to 15 seconds per hour, making it the same length as TOO MANY NIGHTS, as it seemed like a good length. This also had to be adjusted alongside the power consumption, and the animatronic difficulties, so I made a variable to change every character's mechanics waiting time based on whether you're playing Purgatory or not. This is a 2x multiplier, so every character is twice as fast.
Now, onto the topic of the actual post you're reading; A trailer.
I originally planned to release the full game trailer when the game reached 50 followers, but I underestimated the speed at which the game would grow. Turns out I'm already at 45 followers, and chapter 2 is barely even in development yet! As a result, I will attempt to stick to the promise while slightly altering it.
The new reward for 50 followers: A trailer. But not the full game trailer, instead, a Purgatory trailer. A trailer for the new gamemode. The gamemode will then be released when it is fully ready.
Don't expect the gamemode to be ready so soon, though, as despite it's level of playability it is still early in development, and requires graphical polishing, and much more content to be added. More characters, penalties, bonuses, etc.
