I have always been interested in contests, gaming for prizes, and mini tournaments. I know I am not the only one. A quick online search proves it. There are plenty of game sites where you can sign up and play and possibly win cash, gift cards, and sweepstakes entries.
I have always been interested in starting my own prize winning game site. (Of course I mean the players get the prizes, not the game site winning prizes. Although I would not turn down a prize, my goal would be for the players to have a little fun and a chance to win.)
It’s something I can program for sure.
Can I give away prizes … sure!
Will it be fun … Maybe!
Can I market it … (cricket-cricket-cricket-cricket)
So let me simplify the plan: My HTML5 game “Attack of the Alien Chew Toy” is finished. On online on a few gaming webistes. It would be very easy to turn it into a contest. High score at midnight at the end of the month wins a prize. Then a quick wipe of the data base and I can start again the following month.
Not a bad plan.
The coding is almost complete so I am ready for the next step. What kind of prizes? I have decided to throw it out to others. Cash always makes a good prize, but there are others: Xbox Live Gold Account, iTunes Gift card, Amazon.com gift card, or even actual physical prizes.
What do you think would make a good prize? Send me a message or comment and let me know. Friend me.
Follow the blog and go ahead and practice playing “Attack of the Alien Chew Toy” so you will be ready to go when the contest starts!
