I haven't talked a lot about the different areas and arcs in MB to avoid spoilers, but these two are just so cute and too good to NOT talk about at least once.
In the Mount Haven City area, soon after the Dream Realm (with Larry and Mary), you have two slightly irreverent and choatic government figures: William Hudson, the chief of police, and Katherine Ivy, the mayor.
William Hudson is ladies' man, whom despite his media-sensationalized record of being a massive flirt, is actually a decent chief of police who takes reports of corruption or misconduct from other police officers very seriously. He dyed his hair bright red because it just looks cool to him. He's also a bit of a celebrity in the underground city itself.
Katherine Ivy is the mayor of Mount Haven, and is a well-respected (competent) leader who's reputation involves being charming with a pinch of civil rights. Any instance of Ad Hominem directed towards her will be met with her batting her eyelashes cutely. She is Mount Haven's first openly transgender public figure, as well as being the second mayor ever in the city's relatively short history. (Side note: the sketch of her is kind of a "beta test" and isn't final to what you'd see in the game)
These two weirdos also may or may not have a secret affair with each other. Don't worry, they're both single.
----------
An investigative journalist for the Haven Culture Herald managed to figure out that William and Katherine are having an affair. Upon asking both figures about it, they vehemently denied it.
Hudson: "Listen, listen, I like Miss Ivy as much the next person, but HER going for a guy like ME? Nope, not happening. Not possible. Zero probability. ...Are you writing this down!? Get the hell outta here!"
Ivy: "Ah, most be rumors. Me and Willy- I-I mean, Mr. Hudson, have a STRICTLY professional relationship. We collaborate whenever possible on crime, crime prevention, crime statistics, crime probability, crime graphs, crime this, crime that, crime... s-stuff."
She visibly lowers her head and blushes.
"...Uhm, Can you, er, give me a moment to use the, uh, restroom?"
