Hi 👋 It's been a minute.

This devlog, we have some REALLY good stuff and some news that might surprise some of you. Despite a few team members.. leaving, and a few other complications (One which I'll be mentioning in this devlog), there's been a lot of cool stuff going on and I'm really happy with everything that we've been doing.

So with that being said, let's start!

MUSIC

In terms of music, quite a lot has been done, actually. The music people in the team have been doing crazy things, and though there won't be much of the other stuff I usually show in this devlog, you'll still be able to listen to some of their cool music.

First, we have two of the first tracks of the game, replacing "Once Upon a Time" and "Start Menu" made by @the_flow .

Second, we have the replacement for "Uwa!! So Temperate♫" made by @mono_chrome .

There are a few other tracks being made too, so expect some to release... sometime. ... Maybe. Enjoy these super cool tracks for now.

CODING

Now for the uh... this, part.

Alright, uh, so, a while ago, I started working on a new Undertale engine to use for this, and possibly other Undertale fangames I'm coding. I know I've said this probably a lot of times, but after this, I don't plan on switching anymore. The old one wasn't too good for a lot of reasons, so I've decided that this was the best thing to do. This'll make coding the game a lot better and easier, and I've already gotten a decent amount of progress on the engine done, which is why I even decided to announce it publicly. I'm currently working on the battle system for the engine since most of the overworld stuff is done. I'm hoping I can get most if not everything done in at least a month or two.

With that being said

I guess this is the end of the devlog. Once the new engine is done, I'll get back to coding the actual game again. But for now, there won't really be any in-game screenshots or anything like that.
