Happy all saints day for everyone who celebrates it! For those who don't know, it's basically April Fools, but...in december, why not?
But, before starting we'd like to say to ya'll: merry christmas! Hope that ya'll have been on the nice list and Santa has brought you cool stuff. And other than that, hope you all have a happy new year as well!
Now, celebrations aside, we have a LOT of cool things to discuss-

Okay, maybe we were joking earlier, this deserves a big applause! The project has gotten a lot of attention in these five months and I (Tomato) am extremely thankful about it! Though, would like to say that, without the dedicated team behind the project and YOU, person reading this devlog, wouldn't have been possible!

-Von's Promo Art
As mentioned above, our beloved Von has gotten promo art made by Alix with their very unique art style! This will replace the Character Card of the gamepage just as Ethan's did previously!

Relating to art, we have also started to make some for Snowdin!
-NPCs
Like we mentioned prior in the other Status Updates, we're focusing on minor things for the RUINS now that the bases have been set, we're working on NPCs that will spice up the RUINS!
Additionally, some dialogue that has been made for some of them!
These are just some parts of dialogue, there's way more done behind the scenes!
-RUINS rooms
This december, room production has started and has been going smoothly! We're aiming to make them prettier than the area in the original game and we think we're succeeding on that!
And here is an outdated mockup! Should worry, the environment is what has changed into a prettier one, the skeleton is still tagging along for our dismay.

-Writing Status
Okay so, about writing; big things have happened! After realizing how messy the system we had to organize our info, this last week we've reorganized everything into a single document with tabs and subtabs which include the intro, summaries of each area (except neutral, which we decided we'll be getting onto when we move onto developing those latter zones!), character details and many other things, also, some minor changes to some of these have been done so things that should be more clear aren't confusing, doesn't mean we'll be scrapping mysteries though!
Additionally, one of the character has received a GIANT overhaul that makes them really unique and we're quite happy with how it turned out! After fixing some minor inconistencies that the character had with the plot, we realized this rewrite helps the story to make more sense, so it's all a big win!
The main two endings have also been planned out and what can I say? Absolute CHEF KISS! Way better than the original plans we had for them.
Although, have a sneak peak of a scene that plays out in the Ruins!
-Sprite Status
Alright, this one is a little harder to communicate, but we'll do our best! In short, most sprite work for the RUINS has been completed! Tilesets, character sprites, battle sprites, menu sprites are mostly finished!
Out of 4 tilesets for the RUINS, three have been completed (might need to add some variety to them) and the other one is in the works!
Basically:
OW Character sprite sheets have been completed!
Only one battle sprite sheet isleft to be finished!
One tileset is left to be finished!
Battle menu sprites are finished!
Although, the fact they're finished doesn't mean they're fully done! As long as coding continues, we will continue improving them and possibly animate them!
-OST Status
Out of 29 pieces for the soundtrack, 22 have been completed and four are in the works! Additonally, we'll be showing THREE OSTS this time, found in the game page!
-Coding Status
Coding has been restarted thanks to the new coding members!
-OTHER NEWS
-Progress
Since the development has been going more towards things that could be big spoilers for the game, soon we will be unable to show that much as we have been doing recently. Though, that doesn't mean we'll be scrapping showing any progress! Just that they'll be more light teasers.
-RUINS Internal Deadline
The team has a estimated deadline about the RUINS in terms of assets, and most likely, will be completing it in time! We'll wait to see if we actually manage to do so to update you all on it.
-Call for Coders
This brings me to the next point, we'd like to have more coders so progress in that aspect (the most important one!) can be constant and not stuck with no progress for long periods of time! Feel free to DM me: tomato3219

That's right! As promised around half year ago, we have finally completed the server! It was finished a few months back, but I decided to wait to make it public till I knew I could moderate it.
