Welcome to the 2nd dev log for UNDERTALE PEA GREEN
In this post, I'll go over my general progress on Lunar Forest over the last few days

Major
To start the dev log, I'll talk about the characters in Lunar Forest.
I'll first mention the major 2 for this area:
Kame (left) and Shinchou (right)

Kame is a typical motherly type while Shinchou is her deadbeat adult son (also they're turtles). Like I said in the last dev log, they will be the tutoriel characters guiding you through Lunar Forest
Random Encounters:
Taillight

A cat-like enemy based on the Cat Eye lights you see on roads (can't wait for the "FURRY!" comments)
Can-can

Just your average sentient garbage can
Aptosis

An apple that gave up halfway through committing Mitosis...
Question is, which side is the original?
Returning
As you know from my last post, Froggit and Whimsum will be returning from UNDERTALE. I've also since decided to add Vegetoid (since he kinda fits the areas theme)

One more thing I'd like to mention is Flowey will also make a cameo appearance
(I'm not sure how big I want to make his role yet, but he definetily won't be as important as he is in UNDERTALE)

The first room is done where you fall onto a pile of cushions placed by the residents. They didn't expect anyone to fall down or anything, they just like to stare up into the massive, gaping hole

From there you'll walk into the first (proper) Lunar Forest room where you'll meet Shinchou and Kame

After that you'll reach your first save point room (saves are not canon, just there for the players sake)

After this the layout will go something like this for a few loops:
Puzzle -> Event (e.g. fight, shop or just some quirky dialogue) -> Rest/Save/Grind room
Also, all of these rooms are complete with dialogue and everything

(all rooms are subject to change based on if they go over GB Studio's Tile Limit)

I've also made 2 more tracks for the game. I won't really talk about them in case I spoil too much, but here they are:

The game has been getting a lot of support these past few weeks (thanks! :D) and some people are already talking about wanting to play the game - so here's the details:
I will upload a web build and a Game Boy Rom build of the game
There will be a second version of the web build that uses the Game Boy Color capacities to make the screen a more desirable color (shouldn't affect anything else)
The demo will contain the entirety of Lunar Forest
The demo will also contain (the start) of Pacifist, Genocide and Neutral (every route)
It will roughly be 30 minutes long (per route)
It will be announced a month before release so people have any prep time they might need
I (roughly) estimate 3-6 months before the demo - but keep in mind that it could be sooner or later than that
In the meantime, I'll still keep you all updated with these dev logs

Thank you all for the support the games got since I put it up last week! Still can't believe it's almost at 30 followers already...
The next dev log will focus on battles and puzzles (for the pacifist route). I can't say when to expect it because all that will probably take longer to make, but it will no doubt be a big one.
With that being said, I hope you all have a great rest of your day and thanks for reading allat :)
