Buffs

Buffs! What are those? You can use items in your storage to gain an effect for a certain amount of time. For example: you can use 50 coffee, and your province will produce more stone and wood. Of course, you can still trade with these items as well.

Development tree: Assemble

Your province should be at least level 20 to unlock this development tree.

(1) No requirement: Unlock the screw factory.

(2) Requires development (1): Unlock the weapon factory
Requires screws in order to produce weapons. Weapons will have importance in a future update. (not a "battle system", I don't plan a system like that anymore)

(3) Requires development (1): Unlock the machine parts factory
Requires screws in order to produce machine parts.

(4) Requires development (3): Unlock the machine minder
Requires machine parts in order to produce a machine.
Machine (use) effect: Boosts the income of coin/wood/stone/food (only one randomly) for 35 days by 300%.

Healthcare system

What should I do if my people get sick?
Yeah, you guessed it. Build hospitals, or other medical buildings! You should have enough room in your healthcare buildings for every ill person.

UI changes

  • Every house and workplace shows the time until the next production

  • The factory window is more informative (a factory is a building that requires an item to produce another)

  • Status icons

    statusicons.png
    • Hunger

      • Green: enough food and more production than consumption

      • Yellow: enough food but more consumption than production

      • Red: not enough food

    • Healthcare

      • Green: enough room for every patient

      • Yellow: just enough room for every patient

      • Red: not enough room for every patient

New models for forest-based areas

Other

  • Optimization
The game had a bunch of performance issues, and I had to work a lot on that. That took about 1,5 month, but the game runs smootly now.

  • Fill houses
You can fill up your houses with homeless people by clicking on a little button in the bottom right corner.

  • Main menu changed - again

  • Added new objectives

Hey!

Let me show you three new models; the forest, woodcutter hut and the advanced woodcutter hut.

The optimization is done right now, so I can give you new content updates in a few weeks!

New mine types: Advanced mine (left) and salt mine (right)

Hey!

It's time: you can download MyProvince! I want to thank everyone who followed the development of the game :)

Have fun!

Yesterday I started working on a world-generation system for no reason, and I thought I'll share how it's going!

Adding people to the areas. Visually, I mean. Going pretty well, but a lot more work to do :)

Hunting lodge, church, fishing zone - just a few things to mention from the upcoming update. Stay tuned! A lot of progress has been made in July.

Wow, I can see my buildings before I build it! Just in time. I wanted to do it months ago :) I changed the selection effect as well - instead of an ugly blue light, there is a blinking blue frame as you can see on the picture.

I'm basically done with MyProvince, only polishing left! I'll publicate it on May 1st, you'll be able to download it for free!

A few months ago I posted an image of a map generator I've worked on (second image). In the past few weeks I improved it and building a game on top of it (first image). A lot of ideas, a lot of work ahead! :)

Update 9:

- New areas: fishing zone, hunting lodge, watchtower, restaurant - Food industry developments - Redesigned: bank and church - Objectives - Discover your province!
