Now it may look like I’m doing little, but truth is, I’m doing a lot, but this is why I hate cities. Loads of design for a part of the game you’ll only pass through in less than five minutes. I always wonder why people value towns so much in RPG games…. They are overrated :P
Well above I can show you the royal palace in Windville. It will not play an important role in the game, however that was not proper excuse not to give it a proper design. Nino is a prince after all, so a royal palace had to be there. :P
Since this is the first town, I also need to put in the kind of stuff you’ll find in most towns, but which I yet need to program, like stores and stuff, and Nino has not yet been fully graphically worked out (this screenshot show the only graphics of him that are currently not placeholder… Oh wait, that was a secret).
I know this was gonna take some time, not to mention when the Netherlands has hot weather, it’s always suffocating (too much moisture in the air here), and that also slows me down a bit, but I’m still on da move.
People who are interested in alpha testing what I have now (which is only 1 dungeon and one (incomplete town)), may now speak, and I’ll give you the secret url + password to a secret page I have on itch where you can download the alpha version, which is updated every day I work on the game. Why itch and not Game Jolt. Because Itch has Butler and Game Jolt has no equivalent yet, that’s why. :-/ (I hate comparing GJ to itch, but that is really the ONLY reason). Of course, it’s still alpha, so many features are not yet fully working or not even working at all, and some graphics are still placeholders. Also, it goes without saying, but as you see more and more content being added, you will know things about the story, others will not, so you must be able to keep secrets. Only a few people will get alpha access to the game.
A public alpha demo is planned once I got the game in a safe state when adding the content that follows after Shirley joined the party (Lirmen will only be available in the full version, and that’s also why his portrait is not yet done, as he has less priority at the moment).
