Update

I am now working on the Black Tower dungeon, and I still will be for the next days. I can give you the screenshot above.

I must also ask you for your patience, as the production of this game goes way slower than the way it went on my other 3 RPG games. The most important reason for that is that on Dyrt I had help and on my other two RPG games, I had little else on my mind, allowing me to tackle those two challenges at full force. Unfortunately things are different now. I may look like a very well-respected guy who has all his stuff in order, well, if only that were true… I’ve gone through miserable experiences in the past, and the past is trying to catch up with me, and thus I’ve had a lot of setbacks due to not being able to work. I do not think this is something I should go into the deep of in a DevLog like this, but trust me when I say that I have been through things I do not wish for you to happen, and if you’ve been gone through the same things I have, you’d experience nasty flashbacks of those events too and they can hurt, and that’s all I gotta say about that now!
Also 63 is not my only project now. As the LÖVE engine is changing faster than I can produce games like this, 63 already requires an outdated LÖVE version, but upgrading is not an option as 63 has too much codes that has been removed from LÖVE right now, and meaning I would have to start all over, and I ain’t gonna do that, so I am looking for alternatives for my future projects. I am currently studying C#, an the Mono Framework. Since I put high value in being as cross-platform as possible, this framework interests me, and I could already get my JCR6 engine working well in it, which I re-created in C# as a study project. And if the Mono Framework is not gonna be my next target, hey maybe I got a good base for Unity now, or I got at least a good framework to get my other programming things done. I already found a few things in which C# was better to work with than Go (Sorry Fernando, I know you LOVE the Go language).
We’ll see how things will go….
I am also soon gonna follow some professional programming training, which I look forward to, but I guess it goes without saying that leaves me less time to work on the game.

Of course, my work as a moderator on Game Jolt also takes me some time, but trust me, that takes the LEAST of my time every day, so actually that hardly influences anything in my daily planning.

Still I did take it on myself to finish this game. Before I created my other 3 RPG games, I’ve made the original version on The Fairy Tale (of which REVAMPED is (like the name suggests) a kind of re-imaging) under worse circumstances with even less time on my hands, and I did finish that game (I need to sort out if that version of the game still works, and I may even publish it, when it does). I’ve put enough work into the 63 project, not to abandon it that easily, but I must ask for your patience. Loads of time, or little time, I do not want to rush this. ;)

In terms of GamePlay I have, aside from the start of this dungeon, also made a start on the things all RPG players hate most. Status changes, with “poison” traditionally as one of the first. The basic concept worked, although it is heavily bugged, and if you try the Alpha version now, you’ll know what I mean. The Alpha version on Game Jolt has now been upgraded to version 8, and if you are interested in seeing it the way it is now, hey, just comment this DevLog, throw me a PM, or seek me out on Discord. ;)
