Update [v0.2] from itch.io page!

Yo! This little demo has been made for UDC Jam 13 and the DOS Games Jam so we decided to update and polish it a little with new features, improvements, achievements, music, unlockables and bug fixes. Massive thank you to the peeps at itch.io's page who were positive about this game, your support is greatly appreciated and means a lot! We'll do our best not to disappoint, but it will take a while to make a full game out of this. (because the level in the demo will have to be completely reworked, especially the intro).

Here is the complete changelog:

  • Added music, it can be muted as well

  • Added readable items

  • Added new settings menu

  • Added tutorial in the main menu

  • Added CRT effect, it can be toggled at settings menu

  • Added GameJolt integration for achievements

  • Added unlockables

  • Added box pushing sound

  • Added shadowing system (if you're close to a lightsource then enemy detects you as fast as if your lamp was enabled)

  • Added and changed some key bindings (Tab should open the inventory screen, you can play the game on the numpad)

  • Added door slam detection (if you open or close the door near an enemy, they will be notified of your position)

  • Improved environment (atmosphere is more blue-ish and the level had some improvements in terms of props)

  • Improved player shading, his eyes glow in the dark for aesthetic purposes and he blinks from time to time.
    I know, big improvement.

  • Improved light components that are flickering

  • Improved the supply item information, it should now show how many items you have

  • Game Over still image can be skipped

  • Fixed pixelization, it should only affect the game view only now instead of UI

  • Fixed lamp toggle, you shouldn't be able to toggle it if you dropped it anymore

  • Fixed lamp lighting; it doesn't mess with the shadows and it won't go into object meshes

  • Fixed animation problems

  • Fixed intro text grammar errors (special thanks to @enyx on itch.io)

  • Fixed enemy rotation when player is hiding

  • Fixed enemy interacting with a jammed door which would display a "Door is jammed" message

  • Fixed subtitle overriding fading animation incorrectly

  • Fixed inventory transition that didn't unfreeze/freeze time

  • Fixed door raycasting issue (enemies can see you through the door frames now)

  • Fixed collision for item placement (you can now correctly place lamp and other items on environment props)

  • Fixed issue where enemy would be infinitely getting agitated while hiding if you hid the player while running
