Context:
After navigating through a challenging two years, nearly completing my first year of college, & recently turning seventeen, I realized it was time to start making some important decisions about the future but, trust that I've thought long & hard before making these decisions.
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be finishing my first year of college in just under three weeks time. Once this has happened, I am going to be taking a more serious & professional approach towards my current hobbies for Game Development & Pixel-Art & I am looking forward to sharing more of my work with this community.
So What Happens Now:
As previously mentioned, I'll be taking a more focused & professional approach to both Game Development & Pixel-Art moving forward. To pursue this goal, I've recently made the decision to switch from my current college course (Which I have found no longer aligns with my interests) for a programming course, where I can focus on learning how to code.
This course will also cover the creation of artwork for both programs & apps, utilizing an art style of my choice. This will provide an opportunity to further refine my skills in Pixel-Art.
Update On My Following List:
As part of the more focused and professional approach to how I engage on Gamejolt, I've recently updated the list of people I follow. I've unfollowed a number of users who make mostly random or low-effort posts.
Moving forward, I'll primarily be following individuals who are either actively developing games I find inspiring or who consistently share high-quality, meaningful content. Of course, I will be continuing to following my close friend and former project collaborator, @ninesoulssea .
This change is not personal to anyone, As it's simply part of my effort to maintain both a more productive and professional space & in order to keep my feed relevant to what I'm working on & into right now. Thanks for understanding!
An Update On Legacy: The Lost Archive:
I want to take a moment in this to address the current status of Legacy: The Lost Archive. Unfortunately, the game page & all related posts were recently lost due to unauthorized access to my account.
(Update:)
Unfortunately, despite the continuous efforts of The Gamejolt Team, the lost content cannot be recovered. With that said, I will be remaking the game page at a later time, once I've made sufficient progress on The Game's Artwork & feel confident in showcasing it properly.
Development Changes: Project Status, Upcoming Changes:
Moving forward, Legacy: The Lost Archive will officially be re-branded as simply Legacy. Additionally, development will be temporarily placed on hiatus as I plan to take a two-week vacation to Australia following the completion of my first year of college as previously mentioned.
Once I return, development will resume as normal, though with some significant changes planned for the project. As a result, Legacy will no longer be developed using RPG Maker & will instead be remade entirely out of custom code.
I understand that some followers were particularly interested in Legacy due to its foundations being made in RPG Maker. To accommodate this, I am going to provide a public download link for the existing RPG Maker Build on the website linked on my page. This link will remain active until the end of the month, so be sure to download the files before then.
Stay tuned for more updates as we move into this new era.
