Spies: Service of Secrecy - Demo

Version: 0.0.0.9 Update

More progress and another new character. Spy #3 took a bit of a redesign from her original setup, largely because she was too unbalanced. Hopefully, the new design has created a nicely balanced character. As well, I’ve been busy with design work for additional enemies and bosses to add into the game later on. Some are looking great, but others still need some work. I’ll be sure to share them with you in time.

New Features:

  • Third spy added. She can us Perfume Lexpensive to make enemies become intoxicated by her, forgetting to chase her. She can also use Spring-Loaded High Heels to super jump. Just crouch still for a few seconds and then jump. She is slightly slower and jumps slightly lower than Spy #1.

  • Spy #2 stats adjusted. His stats match Spy #3.

  • Enemy motion patterns adjusted. Enemies will continue moving horizontally if they lose sight of the player. Vertical motion following remains unchanged.

  • Alarm button for debugging needs now toggles alarms instead of just setting it off.

Other minor tweaks may be noticeable.

Enjoy. Be sure to comment and give any and all feedback from testing and, if you haven’t already, follow the game so you can be informed of future updates.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
