Version 0.1.04 Added. Second playable pilot and the shield.

Time for a new update!

Meet BX08 - Second Playable Pilot!

I was thinking about implementing an ability that won’t directly deal damage or influence enemies, but rather something that enables tactics and controls the flow of the match (e.g. retreating, redirecting enemies, setting up traps).

Here’s how it works:

1. The pilot selects the locations for the first and second teleport and summons them.

2. Afterward, the teleports become connected, so anything that enters one comes out the other (and vice versa).

3. This enables interesting tactics, like placing a teleport near enemies and waiting by the second, or even shooting through the teleport.

4. The initial direction of a projectile is preserved after teleportation. So, if you stand directly in front of the teleport, the projectile will continue moving forward after it teleports.

5. The same applies for back, right, and left directions. This works for everything, including the first pilot’s ability (controllable projectile), which can be nicely combined in co-op play.

6. As with every pilot ability, it temporarily disables the mech, making it extra vulnerable. Therefore, it should be used from a safe spot (though "safe" is subjective—there are no safe spots in Decurion!).

The second update in this build is the Shield. I designed it to give players a better chance of surviving tough situations, but it requires some skill.

The shield summons immediately and will absorb one projectile, after which it disappears and becomes available again after a short cooldown.

It costs nothing, works quickly, and allows players to take extra risks and escape dangerous situations unharmed.

If activated right before impact, the shield will deflect the projectile back to the enemy. This only works against projectiles!

That’s all for this update! Stay tuned!
