Virus Bloke 2 v1.2 - COMING SOON!


FINALLY! After lots of work, Virus Bloke 2: The Fall of Microsoft v1.2 is pretty much ready for distribution! TONS of fixes, changes, and even some new features await you! I shall paste the complete list of details for this patch below for anybody curious, so don’t read it if you don’t want spoilers.
Now I just need to do some tests. Probably play through the game again, and send it to a friend or two, and also… There might just be a new portal on the 2nd floor of the Microsoft Building, to a newly created area…!
So it might take a few days, but then, get ready for the return!

PATCH NOTES for Version 1.2.0

Additions:

  • Made completely new area through a portal in the MS Building, just to show my appreciation for all the continued support!

  • Added option for in-game cutscenes instead of animated ones, for those who suffer from the game crashing when a movie plays.

  • Added interactions with the letters on the wall in Gamezville.

  • Added shadow of final boss, to add some LOOM!!

  • Added lots of new items to the Creation Device in the PoPS Workshop.

  • Added a map of the PoPS Basement to the computer in Paul’s office, and included one with the guide.

  • Gave Munkees and Cheeky Munkees a new skill: Throw Poop (poisons you).

  • Added subtitles to the various audio logs in the game, for those who can’t/don’t want to listen.

  • Added different dialogue in the Chocobo Village prison for if you DO have some Gysahl Greens when the Chocobo asks.

  • Added visible Coconut in the correct tree in the Desert.

  • Added new content to After-Game Land’s “Un-used Ideas” and “Extras” sections!

  • Added unique interactions with (hopefully) all book shelves in the game, and various other things.

  • Made the food machines in the Enterpies restore party’s HP.

Changes:

  • Changed Munkee Breaches: Added a computer near each gate, which can open/close the gate, and check for a breach inside.

  • Changed After-Game Land: Achievements now award you Copper, Silver, and Golden Token items, which you can spend to unlock doors of matching colour, giving YOU the choice of what cheat codes and bonus features you want to unlock!

  • Slightly reduced Lucky Points cost of some of the trader’s items.

  • Made it possible to retry the race against the Motorbiker boss if you lose the race.

  • Made it possible to get the Space Ship Manual without having to examine the computer first. Made no sense!

  • Changed “Musician” place name to “House of Music”.

  • Removed the circling Zapper in Easy Mode.

  • Changed graphic of the Zappers in MS Network to more clearly show where they are.

  • Reduced guard vision sizes in stealth sections in Easy Mode.

  • Reduced the amount of possible places that the Access Card can spawn for Ewan’s stealth mission.

  • Made more obvious safe places on 2nd floor of the outpost in Ewan’s stealth mission during the war.

  • Removed Paul’s logs from the Starship Enterpies, and just replaced them with one log. They were unnecessary.

  • Increased chances of stealing, with and without the Sneaky Ring.

  • Changed Master Thief achievement from “Steal all items” to “Steal at least 28 items”

  • Removed “PRESS ESCAPE” from the “INCOMING CALL” graphic in Wooden Gear Liquid. Pressing escape did nothing!

  • SLIGHTLY increased the time given between lightning strikes in the Forbidden Forest.

  • Removed Herobrain.

Fixes:

  • Fixed skill/magic names, changing the Ys to Is (eg, Virusyness to Virusiness, Skillyness to Skilliness)

  • Made it possible to still enter the Test Lab in Dark Microsoft after powering the place up.

  • Fixed the Desert mini-map never appearing again after entering an oasis while it’s showing.

  • Made fixes/changes to some text/dialogue.

  • Fixed formatting of the “VB2 Hints, Tips, Secrets” document.
