We're at it again! Follower Survey and Public Brainstorming

Hi everyone!

Since last time I wrote something I was alone on this project. Normally I wouldn’t have continued developing the game, since that’s usually the fate of many gamejam titles. Unexpectedly, a coder (by the name of RocketBoyweee on GJ) reached out to me.

We talked a bit and wanted to make a game together. Our choice fell on remaking Petting a Cat in the midst… (We’re probably going to change the name to something more convenient) from the ground-up.

But before we get to hasty and begin development of a prototype, we wanted to make a little survey of what the followers (you) wanted. So please read the following questions and answer them with a comment. Your answers will have an impact on the final game.

First of all, what did you like about the original game? Was it the story? The theme? The art? Gameplay? The music? Message? The cat? Please state which one is the more important, if you have multiple.
We’ll look at your answers and try as best as possible to retain them in the reboot.

Second, Where would you like the game to go? If you were to develop the game, how would you do it? Would it even still be a visual novel?

We hope that you take the time to answer the questions with a comment. It’ll help a lot. We’ll keep you guys updated on what we decide. Expect more devlogs like these, where we ask you about stuff.

If you have any additional questions, don’t be afraid contacting me (Preferably through PM on Twitter, but anything goes).

See you later

-Alex D.
