Hey! It’s both delighting and sad to see so many comments from folks wanting to hear when the game is coming out, and speculating on what we’re doing with out time. First up, I should apologise for not keeping everyone in the loop. That one’s one me.

I started Biome a couple of years ago as a student, and since finishing my studies I’ve been pretty busy with life. Right now I’m living in Cambridge with my girlfriend, working with Inkle, developers of the incredible 80 Days and Sorcery! series. Developing games is my passion, and Biome is a project that’s incredibly close to my heart.

So - Biome hasn’t been abandoned, I’m still alive, and it’s definitely not vaporware. It would scare me to see a game I was excited about go dark. For us though, it’s not a problem. Biome is a hobby. There’s no money behind it, and no external pressure for us to work on it. Being free to move at our own pace is what makes it a passion project rather than a job. Count on that to make it the best it can be.

So right now I don’t know when it’s coming out. In my spare time right now I’m working on a board game. Last month, I was making an arcade game. Next month - who knows? Having a supportive audience is the best unexpected thing that came out of our work so far, and we’ve no intentions of wasting it.
