Where I'm at to start with :)

I may have only now gotten around to making the GJ page for LMS, but I've been slowly chipping away at this game for a while now. Here's what I've got for now:

The intro sequence for Chapter 1 is in its second draft state, as far as dialogue and narration goes. I didn't mean to capture this, but this screenshot also shows a peek at the suspect profile mechanic (top left), where important information about each character is compiled neatly for player convenience :D

Point and click segments to explore the environment and collect evidence

Suspect interaction screen, where players can:

TALK - Ask simple questions, collect testimonies

PRESENT - Show evidence to see a suspect's reaction, possibly learn more about it

INTERROGATE - Push the right details in the correct order to get a suspect to give up sensitive information

Evidence presentation screen ^

When presenting a testimony, choose which specific line to focus on (I do not like the square brackets in this font, but I'll fix it later)

My current goal is to get the first day fully playable, then work on drafting character and evidence sprites.

Next up

been a minute since I worked on LMS; I forgot about placeholder Avery's lil side-eye lol

girl's so sus of EVERYONE I love her <3

Two little arrows gave me SO MUCH trouble it's insane 😭

But hey, I've added 1 new room, 1 new suspect, and 1 new UI feature. A nice balance :]

I lied, I got mad at my code so I'm sketching some sprites now--

Bandana Dee the Dream Friend

Family band complete!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Rockin the Guitar, an Axe like Guitar I made for my Uni project

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Drawn in Piskel using my mouse. Whaddya think?

Regional Bulbasaur. #Pokemon
