Over the months that have passed, I have done a lot of reconsideration with the gameplay and overall substance that WWAK provides for real players; fans of SpongeBob, fans of horror games in general, and everyone in between.
I am also quickly learning first-hand how non-linear solo game development really is, which is why I believe my percent estimations of the game's progress, especially followed by five months of complete silence were not only complete misjudgements in hindsight but also unfair to the followers of this page.
Back-end framework has been my focus recently, creating clear plans and refining the identity of the game, but there has also been progress on fleshing out locations, adding new pivotal and complementary gameplay elements, and improving signposting and gameplay trajectory.
Of course WWAK may not be considered a major cultural masterpiece when it's done, but I want to give it the time to cook it deserves so it doesn't fall short of being an enjoyable and replayable game at the very least, because that is my priority. Let this post be a start for more frequent updates, even if they are not always major ones.
