"Yard Area" and DEMO news!


Since the last post I've made some changes to this place. More Broadcasters, many tv screens, red carpet are some of the more notable differences. This is the finalized version of this area for the DEMO (ignore transparent text on screen). Dark Star TV screens may return but it's not a guarantee.

As for the DEMO. Well, all that remains to be added are new Broadcaster voice lines. Once that's done and the game is playtested I shall release it here. I don't plan on making a release trailer or anything like that by the way but I will let you all know in advance about the time and day of the DEMO's release!

Shortly after the release of the DEMO I'll update the gamejolt page with updated thumbnails and banners since Broadcasters went through a small upgrade (the star on their screens now has rounder edges). After that, ZONE 2 tracks will be released on Youtube. (still gotta make a thumbnail for those..)

The red M&M Doug is no more! The decoy is getting a unique model - You'll get to see it in the demo ;)

This enemy is still super cool but holy hell this one bug with them is so annoying to fix. Due to the structure of zone 2 and a specific mechanic introduced there, these enemies keep getting stuck.

"Yard Time" - WIP

This is the final area you'll get to see in the demo of Captive Cabaret albeit without any story elements. Gamejolt's compressing the image heavily, sorry about that!

[CONCEPT] Clown Gremlin + CHASE

"The game" will have something that wasn't present in my previous projects - PRACTICE MODE This option lets you replay all major sections of the game without having to replay the whole game to reach them! The UI is a work in progress.

Just so y'all are aware, when the CC DEMO finally comes out, there will be some content I wasn't able to hide from the public release. Look through the files at your own risk! You will get spoiled on some cool stuff!

I started working on the zone 2 map since some assets for zone 1 aren't done yet. It probably won't appear in the demo though.. oh yeah! This game will have a zone 1 demo sometime soon hopefully! Until then, here's a small part of the zone 1 minimap!

One laptop fan replacement later (it was broken) and we have an updated settings menu! This one was just begging to be updated at least visually and with this overhaul, the windows settings suddenly started working properly! Double win!

CC DEMO RELEASE DATE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When it comes to the map, zone 2 is done! There are still some things left to do there like animations and voice lines + some bug fixes buuuuut it's progress! Very excited to eventually show this zone to the public!
