You might be wondering what's in a beta! Right now this game is lacking some planned assets, namely backgrounds and character art.

As a solo dev, making art is one of the most time consuming parts of the process for me, so in addition to the months behind this current release, it may be another several weeks or months until I have the time to make all the art I envision seeing in my completed project! 

This list might contain spoilers so be warned...

Here's what I have planned:

  • Woods backgrounds

    • 8. Forest trail

    • 9. Wisps (objects)

    • 10. Deep woods

    • 11. Overhead woods

    • 12. Forest clearing

    • 13. The Hawthorn

• Character art & emotions (undecided)-

  • Neve (started, but not finalized)

  • Minnow (needs more art and emotions)

  • Pho (started but not finalized)

  • Tuna (most complete atm)

I haven't completely decided upon which emotions are necessary for the game yet. My plan is to play the game a few more times to get a feel for the emotive experience while playing and seeing where I can fill in the gaps most effectively (taking notes while I'm playing on where to do this) but for now I'm focused on planning background art since I expect that to be more technically difficult. Because of that, I want to work on it first. The character art which I've started on, is a lot more repetitive art, I think I can do it more quickly once I finalize which emotions are actually needed.
