Let's start off strong, first we're thrilled to introduce a fantastic "new" addition to our team: @heckerhecker_b7ca , a talented coder and close friend. He's dedicated significant time to mastering our new engine, and the results are truly impressive. Prepare to witness some of the incredible attack animations he's crafted, showcased below.
Please note: All sprites, aside from the attack animations, can and will change during development.
Now, let's dive into the exciting details.
Given that our game features Chara not just sans, and our engine initially only supported Sans-based attacks, we faced the challenge of creating entirely new knife sprites. After considerable effort, we arrived at these initial designs:

While simple, these didn't quite capture the desired impact. We then refined the color palette, opting for white, and also developed blue and orange variants for strategic gameplay elements.

As you may have observed in previous attack demonstrations, we've also integrated a dynamic slash attack into Chara's move set.

This GIF depicts an earlier iteration, where the attack remained confined within the battle box. We've since expanded its range to extend beyond the boundaries, adding a new layer of intensity, as well as opening opportunities for some new eye pleasing patterns.
