Yūji Kanemaru was an inventive scientist and the father of Satoshi Kanemaru. He encouraged his son to pursue his future with his talent of inventing for science. He was also one of Kotoura Academy’s brightest professors. Right before his son Satoshi gets the ever-loving crap beaten out of him by Big Man’s thugs, Yūji immediately shows up to rescue him. Ever since his son was born, not only did he make ends meet with his experiments, but also, he took on a lot of responsibility looking after his own son as any good father would. He’s always in good hands, keeping his son out of trouble. He taught his son to use his robots for good use as he took him on a visit to Kotoura Academy. But sadly, when he attempted to save Heihachi Takoshima, the academy’s exposition hall violently exploded, killing both Yūji and (presumably) Heihachi… before he died though, he taught Satoshi that with great power, there must also come great responsibility.
