Ayo, Sunlight here.
Yes, Zero#Tale is still in development, just that the DEMO, due to very badly written code by a inexperience me, was left aside in favor of a better one. As of now this better version is the Arcade version, which content will be listed later, that uses a better base with lots of features that wouldn't be managed on the old version without a heavy refactoring.
Now, I know that the DEMO promised a full fangame project, but I'm a single coder; I don't have a spriter, musician, writer nor QA-testers; and I alone can't make the full game without taking more years than what I'm capable of allowing myself to. So that's why I decided to move to a more compact and easier to keep project, don't worry tho, the OverWorld sections that aren't part of a important fight (the Arcade focus) will be implemented later even if just for exploration and funsies. Just remember that a whole game won't be in my priorities.
Moving to the Arcade v1.3.1 content (all version prior 1.3.1 where unpublished):
1- It has all major fights from the DEMO (Toriel, Eddmy, Weenie and the 1st Challenge).
2- Includes a teaser for an Undertale Orange project I'm part of.
3- Has some features to make advancing on through the required fights easier (including an immortality option, either to practice or to skip a fight)
4- You can import your DEMO achievements to this version (in a future update, will add a way to get it on GameJolt too as the API us failing to receive trophies for some reason)
5- A button Key-mapping option was added as requested by several DEMO testers.
6- A built-in key press viewer is implemented (a bit uncomfortable, but exists)
7- Once you complete the 1st Challenge, you'll get access to the Snowdin (currently empty, sorry) and F.U.N sections.
8- F.U.N fight can have completely different gameplay from Undertale (as of now, there's only a half-finished Cave Story fight against ZERO, this fangame protagonist).
9- Deltarune content? Yes, there's some Deltarune content.
10- Not something that's ACTUALLY on the game, but I plan to add a Music Room to listen to the game's music, also a Sprite and Image viewer to let players see every sprite and picture in the game whenever they want.
Thanks again to @KR-INDIE_GAMES
for the promotional art.
With nothing more to say, even after almost two years of dead silence, Sunlight off.
