If I’m going to redraw the NES version of Samus, then it feels wrong not to redraw the Metroid too.
I always preferred the incarnation in which the Metroid's had more substantial claws. I also tried to go for a swooping pose for added dynamism.

Astroteria will have a sequel
Astroteria was my first Jam game and it was a great idea despite making it in less than 4 days, and to take advantage of the idea it will have more relevance

After doing the NES Peach sprite redesign yesterday, I had to do one for Samus too (I mean- how could I not 
).
I’ve included an alternate design that swaps the green out for grey, for some visual interest and improved clarity.
