why did the message "you can't follow this user" appear out of nowhere

i'm unable to see the posts in the following page, this makes it hard to rp using the client. there are people who like to rp, and they use either use the app or the website.
heya gamejolt client won't open on my pc a Windows 7
yes i tried running as admin and reinstalling the client app
but nothing ever happen, it did run on the background but did not open as a window
my only guess is that it dosn't work on windows 7 anymore
