Spamtong side of lore:
Snowgrave Route in deltatune and he's dead. He wakes up in the eternal abyss that is better known as death. He's approached by gaster and they make a deal. Spamton gets another shot at life. But he must possess someone and must help them wipe out the monster race.
Sans side of lore:
Blah blah stuff happens and it's underfell in the underground. But sans dies to undyne (that's why he only has one eye.) Sans wakes up in the eternal void better known as death. He is approached by gaster. His lab partner. But he's very very different this time. Gaster offers a deal. A deal to get another shot at life. But, someone must possess him and he also must wipe out the whole monster race (sans was one the sane ones. that's why he got killed.)
