What do you think?

Played the game on video! A very good concept, with an very interesting Fire Emblem-alike battle system. Nailed it!

The Chronicles of Falore: The Petals that drift from Heaven down to Hell

Version: 0.1.0about 1 month ago

This is a work in progress, everything is subject to change at a later date.

"If someone died and it was your fault, would it break you—or could you handle the weight?"

The Chronicles of Falore is a fantasy turn-based strategy RPG about a princess in exile rallying an army of outcasts, misfits, and forgotten souls. With limited resources and a diverse cast of uniquely skilled fighters, every scrap of equipment and tactical choice matters. No two units are alike—even those from the same class bring something different to the battlefield. But be warned: death is permanent, and in this war, no one is easily replaced.

This demo features the full prologue of the game. Development is currently four months in, and I’m thrilled to finally share this early look at what's to come.

After all the pain and anguish of setting this up it finally works! (except for the bug where if you push any buttons when 'traveling' you will break everything and probably crash the game)

The main thing i've been working on is this world map. I only have this video but it teleporting the player to the wrong area has been fixed so it's now "usable" (still full of visual bugs though) (also damn the character limit on these is so small)

action sequences r hard to learn i'll reanimate everything later (in like five months)

whoever decided RPG maker should be the most finnicky engine of all time is my greatest enemy, animated sprites for enemies should be a default function of the engine

Finally implemented sideview battler sprites. I ended up using Yanfly's plugin as it was the only compatible one. This however the plugin was incompatible with the D-motion plugins. I guess I have to learn action sequencing and reanimate everything now.
