What do you think?

Wow, okay, so I played it, and loved it! Granted there were a couple of map bugs I encountered, I guess you'll be fixing them in some later updates. The new character you teased, Riadia Widow? I LOVE HER! She's insane and I really can't wait to see how she moves forward in the series later, she's coming back right? Oh and can we talk about the boss variations? Holy crap! Some had me on my feet and the difficulty really made battling worth it.

You just felt good getting the upper hand finally! It was also cool getting more detail on why things were like they were in DT1, I won't go into many details, but you did a great job clearing up stuff.

The other secrets were awesome as well and did help a bit for replay. Overall fantastic work! Can't wait to try part 3 later, keep them coming Skytric! P.S Sheka still is best girl.

Thoughts

i have mixed feelings about this game. i want to like it as the visuals and battles were well made.

but various dialog mistakes (minor) and more importantly the glitches made this a bit unpleasant. i broke the game and needed to load an earlier save because i explored instead of doing what the story told me to do.

however it also said i could find things in my free time,so it does suggest looking around instead of progressing the story. i didn't find much for optional events and some of which might have been skipped because i triggered an event earlier than i was suppose to.

this needed a lot more events to stop players from going to certain areas, before they are suppose to. and perhaps stop them from going back to areas they have finished. as they could trigger some scenes which won't make sense.

that said, generally it is pretty obvious what you're suppose to do to continue the main plot. except for the final section. a tower you are suppose to go to. they didn't give a hint what direction it was in so i had to wander a little.

Overall

due to what was done well,i did have fun with this experience. but it definitely could use some improvements.

Glitches

one time when i entered a battle the screen was rapidly scrolling in one direction.

this was an encounter with an enemy not far from the starting village. but i touched the event while heading back toward the village.

after the first boss and you go back to the town.imogen leaves your party. if you navigate the forest at this point you can find deva (blond girl that talks like a princess in high school) you get sent back to the village. if you go back to where the scene happened.

and continue past the area with the dolls. another scene plays and imogen is in the scene. even though he isn't in your party.

also if you continue like this. when you find him after the devo scene plays (or later?)the game will go to the room (with dolls) and freeze because it already happened.

Can't wait to try this later! It looks like a complete step up from game 1! Also interesting to see how you've pulled it from a VN here. Loving the Tales system as well!
