What do you think?

Really interesting setting and concept. It definitely accomplished an epic vibe, with the giant figures appearing out of the sand, and the weighty choices, even though they weren't super nuanced added to that feeling of egyptian afterlife. I agree with others that the walking took way too long though, but yeah, I think you nailed the atmosphere you were going for and it's an intrigueing concept to explore, a game set in the entrance to the afterlife, and in such an interesting culture too. Very unique!

Yeah, I wasn't really feeling this game, to be honest. I very much appreciate the effort and the premise, but the actual choices themselves didn't really do anything emotionally for me -- probably because we've seen these moral choices a million times before. What killed me at the end was the walking time between the trials. Really sorry; I hope you take these comments as constructive criticism and continue to make more games. Anyway, I did manage to play a bit of it in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN6inyWAIrg

Intriguing concept, if a little light on actual gameplay. I find myself agreeing with the niggles mapedorr mentioned (too long a walk between trials, the interface could use refinement).

I applaud you on trying to do something different!

Very interesting game! I included it in my Adventure Jam 2018 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. https://youtu.be/j1_fmhZZRTE

I found the long distances between trials unnecessary. The UI needs improvements because it feels weird to make choices while the camera is moving. What I liked the most was the voice acting, it makes you feel small and vulnerable, you can feel the power of the gods.

The visual style is fine, and I'm impressed by the details on the bodies and the animations of the giant gods. I didn't understand the purpose of the crocodile. The music and sound effects were also good.

I'm not sure if it was intentional or a bug, but in the trial of the bottle of water the voice of the god sounds twice and is not synched, that made hard to understand what she was saying.

I'm also in the jam, so I'll appreciate if you review my entry Short-term Battery: https://gamejolt.com/games/short-term-battery/340825

What happens after our mortal life ends? Do we go to eternity? Do we answer for our sins? Or do we suffer?

For countless ages, the souls of Egypt have ventured after death to face their judgement at the Scales of Justice, their choices in life deciding their eternal fate.
Weighing their hearts against the feather of Ma'at, the souls of the dead stand before Anubis to see if their life was lived to the standards of balance.

Seven years have passed since the loss of your beloved, and now your time has come to stand before the scales.
Will your heart pass the test? Or will you find your heart tipping the scales?

Du'at is the first Unity game produced by Blak Iron Studios, and as our skills progress so will the quality of our projects!

Du'at is an adventure game in which you find yourself having to traverse the haunting sands of the afterlife to have your heart weighed before Anubis. On your journey, you will face trials which will test your moral stance in many ways and your heart will bear the burden of your decisions.

Featuring haunting ambience, unique voice acting, and gameplay that will test your moral fiber, "Du'at" is a unique experience with more than one ending! Your choices will determine which ending you experience in a game where every decision matters! Du'at is being entered for Adventure Jam 2018 and we would appreciate a positive vote in our favor!

It seems as though Du’at is having issues being played for some people. That issue is being worked on straight away, hopefully this issue will no longer plague us!
