-ABOUT THE GAME:
UTDR Half-Life is a recreation of the 1998 first-person shooter (FPS) game developed by Valve Corporation. But not just any recreation...
But rather, one in the style of UNDERTALE. the RPG where you control a human who falls into the underground, the place where Monsterkind would end up being trapped inside of just right after a war against the Humans.
Now, you may be thinking: How would a mix between these two be?
Well, to start off a disclaimer is to be made: UTDR Half-Life is not a HALF-LIFE X UNDERTALE AU, with things such as HALF-LIFE characters taking on the roles of Undertale's main cast of characters.
No.
This right here, is a remake that tries to be faithful to the original HALF-LIFE 1 game from 1998.
Using all the base mechanics UNDERTALE has introduced.
It's Overworld and Battle system, Except.
Here we implement (Almost.) Everything you can do in HALF-LIFE 1.
Running, Jumping, Crouching, Breaking Boxes, Etc.
If the game has it, that means it's being implemented... Except for the Flashlight.
Useless.

Speaking of coding, The game is being made on it's own engine.
Which we are giving the name of "SOUL SOURCE."
It's being coded on "GMS LTS 2022.0.2"
Once the game is released, it is planned to have the game fully open source. Just as VALVE did with all the HALF-LIFE Games back then.
We want YOU to surprise us with what you can do!
The engine as previously mentioned will be fairly different from the one UNDERTALE uses since there will be changes to the movement and battle system and such, so there is a whole room for creativity at hand here.
Development teasers may be quite frequent considering that, this is a remake of a prexisting game.
The story is out, the Character designs are out, The mechanics are out:
HALF-LIFE ! You know it well already !
Although, if you are someone who does not know anything about HALF-LIFE...
We may set in a Spoiler warning if needed to one of our progress posts!
Because Yes, we believe that it isn't necessary to have played the original HALF-LIFE 1 to play this game.
If you wish to enter the VALVE Multiverse by us, you are very much welcomed to do so!
But eitherway do play the Original game if you wish to !
It's one of a kind.
This is not by any Negative reason by any means, but rather because we are looking foward into making things a little bit more interesting. Charming.
We may be redoing some Major tilesets & editing character sprites from the overworld sprites.
May be going to explain why a bit more ahead later on.
