What do you think?

hey there, recently made a full walkthrough of the game as to preserve it and perhaps give other developers some inspiration. consider this my way of contribution towards documenting history XD here's the link to the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD0CZlyBFLY&list=PLq2TfSsG6aljKFeJzNK1z4EZH-7UhK5IH&pp=gAQBiAQB

one of the best games on this site and definitely the best puzzle game i've come across here. it's basically "night at the museum" in beautiful tandem with a science essay, all masterfully crafted with some genius puzzles. love it. sends me back to when i was a kid and my parents gave me all these educational games to play that don't work on modern software XD the art is cute, the music choices are nice, the sounds are pretty cute too, and the gameplay with the simple, but charming plot are rock solid. some of the puzzles (mostly tile changing ones) felt easy but the rest made me scratch my head, especially the last one. it's astonishing as to how many combinations you made with a rather limited set of puzzle elements. a sign of mastership. if i had children, this would be the type of stuff i'd give them to play.

here's a rundown of all the things of note i've spotted while playing - beware of spoilers:
+ the game's folder has a bibliography with lots of references. very neat!
+ lmao you save by writing in a complaint book that's genius
- none of the color key items have an icon corresponding to their color, alas. would've been a fine detail :(
+ even if the game's sprites are mostly drawn-over the default rpg maker assets the pixely style you have going for the game looks very nice. not to mention that all the custom sprites look fantastic, especially the animated ones.
- when you're given the explanation for the items after assembling Gooper professor says "tipically". this is the only typo i've found in the game, mind you. despite it's portuguese origins (i assume) the english in it is VERY good.
+ Ivo the Ibex is such a passive-agressive jerk lmao i love him
+ Liar's Dice is the best thing ever!!!! i love dice-based minigames and seeing one in rpg maker, no less, fills me with joy. i might just add this nifty minigame to my own project - thanks for the inspiration! ;D
+ the self-conscious pirate captain is great - what happened to him is kind of funny but the dissonant state he finds himself in is pretty sad :(
+ the final puzzle with the boxes is the best thing ever. single most brain-wracking thing in any game. when i found out how to actually do it i felt like my third eye opened - that's when you know a puzzle game is good. real good.

all in all, this was a fantastic experience - both from a gameplay point of view and an educational one. majestic. thank you for putting this up online and for free, too - i'll be sure to recommend the game to anyone who wants some a good puzzle. wish you well! :)

Day at the NaSH is a short puzzle game made in RPG Maker VX Ace.

Near the start of the game, you gain the ability to switch between the protagonist Patrícia and the slime creature Gooper, whose malleable body is capable of reaching otherwise inaccessible places, thus helping Patrícia on her journey.

Along the way, you will find bits of historical and scientific trivia, carefully researched to be as accurate to existing sources as possible. Most are an optional read, so don't worry about skipping some of them!
