What do you think?

The comments were right. It's exactly what I feared: Bad RNG attacks.

But before all that. I should start off with everything before it. Firstly, the areas. They're very big, confusing, and mainly empty. There's no sense of direction cause of how many paths there are. There are some paths that are even blocked off with seemingly no way to unlock them, like they're just there to tease you. There were several forcefields I just couldn't unlock, but I guess they weren't important as I could proceed with the main path anyway. I would recommend less open paths and actually guiding the player on where to go and such.

Then, the puzzles. I want to specifically talk about the word puzzle for the b key cause that one was the most terrible. No hints before or during the puzzle. It's one of those "Just Know" puzzles, as in you're supposed to Just Know the solutions beforehand. Freeze, Smile, and 5 days. How is anyone supposed to figure that out on their own? I was just brute-forcing through it all. That's NOT how you design a puzzle.

Now, for the fight everyone's been talking about. Noelle. Yeah, that's literally unplayable. The Knight fight is better balanced than this.

There were beta testers for this game, right..? Ultra fast attacks mixed in with high damage and bad RNG and you have a recipe for one of the worst fights ever. Every enemy is like this too. Why do they all do such high damage? I don't think enemies should be taking me out in less than 4 hits. That's insane. It's not difficult, it's just annoying. But anyways, the Noelle fight needs a redesign. It's not playable in its current state.

Overall, I can't really recommend this. There's just too much holding it back from being great. Long hallways of nothingness, confusing pathways that loop in on each other, bad RNG and poorly designed attacks... I hope these can all be addressed sometime.

HOW THE F IM SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE THIRD QUESTION OF THE B KEY

90% of the game:
A hard 9/10, amazing scenes, funny charming dialogue, and some creepy weird route moments. The enemy designs and battles are fun as well, overall an amazing deltarune fangame.
The other 10%:
The Noelle fight is miserable to go through, with the insane speed and randomization of attacks, its simply unfun to an aggravating and hateful degree. It makes me feel as if you put all of your hatred for anything into the players of this game, and it genuinely makes me want to simply edit my save to make it easier somehow. 2/10. The graphics in the fight are nice though.

Using Refrigerate on Crystaleer softlocks the game.

I've been trying to fight the second Noelle for like an hour at this point, and I always just die to the RNG attacks, as they often leave me with literally nowhere to go, or the hitboxes aren't accurate. Specifically the icicles coming from the box, even though it was just a thin red line, and the icicle didn't even touch my soul, I still got hit and died, and also icicles and other attacks that spawn at the edge of the box can SPAWN ON YOU, I died to that. (Also in the first noelle fight the red snowflakes can spawn on the player aswell, though that fight was 10x more fair and less rng based.)

< Installation Methods >

< Extras Room >

image.png

Who doesn't love a bit of extra content, right? The Extras Room can be unlocked after completing the Pacifist Ending. You'll be automatically brought to the Extras Room after the credits roll, try loading your SAVE File after it!

The Extras Room is mostly a silly room with barely any Frostveil lore. Though, there are some secrets there... try finding them!

< Difficulty Modifiers >

There are 3 modifiers that increases the difficulty of the game, these being:

HARD MODE

Increases the defense, damage and health of all enemies, as well as making their attacks and acts harder. You can enable it by interacting with Kris' bed after reaching the Dark World in another SAVE File.

Invisible Bullets

Pretty straight foward, makes all bullets quickly fade out when they spawn, making it a lot harder to tell where they are going. You can enable it by interacting with the empty glass of water in Kris' room after reaching the Dark World in another SAVE File.

Everyone Bleeds

This modifier makes every party member of your party lose HP in every battle. Not enough? Enable HARD MODE if you think this modifier is easy, it'll make the bleeding 25% faster! You can enable this by interacting with the blood stain in Kris' room after reaching the Dark World in another SAVE File.

< Trophies >

image.png

Trophies are these little medals that you see in the main menu, each of them requires the player to do something in-game. They serve as achievements for doing a hard task, and as a flex, of course!

Here's how to obtain them:

Pacifist

Spare all enemies and spare Noelle.

Genocide

Fight all enemies and slash Noelle.

Vehemence

Defeat The Anomaly.

Transparency/Bleeding

Beat the game with Invisible Bullets/Everyone Bleeds ON.

???

Cover the world in snow.

Each of these trophies have a HARD MODE variant, except for secret trophies. Good luck obtaining them!

< Other Features >

image.png

In the game's Config menu, there are some options to change things like the menu song, pitch and others.

Here's a explanation on each of them:

Epileptic FX

Disables majority of flashing effects. Use if you have sensibility to flashing lights.

Menu Song Enabled

Disables or enables the menu song.

Menu Song Pitch

Changes the pitch of the menu song. The minimum pitch is 50% and the maxium is 200%. After reaching certain endings, the menu song pitch can change automatically.

Menu Song

Changes the menu song between these three alternatives:

> Frostveil
> Before the Story
> With Hope Crossed on Our Hearts

After reaching certain endings, the menu song pitch can change automatically.

Show Trophies

Whether to show trophies in the main menu or not.

Improved Battles

Adds extra effects to the battle background, as well as making it more dynamic.

< Simplify VFX Alteration >

For those with low-end devices, Simplify VFX was reworked and it now disables most effects. Only use if your FPS constantly drops or is unstable.
