The year 2000, autumn.
On the forums of the small town of Pointville, a scary story about the Dollmaker is gaining popularity. More and more people begin to believe the strange urban legend.
All is well and good, but in the town really appeared Dollmaker - a killer, brutally massacring his victims. The police have no clues and no idea who is behind the brutal murders.
Detective Kenny Ross is in charge of the investigation. The search for the killer does not lead to satisfactory results: there are no clues, and the number of victims is growing. But the detective got lucky one quiet night: another dead man was obsessed with the legend of the Dollmaker and tried to find the killer himself. On the victim's computer were found records of people who had encountered the Dollmaker. This archive can be a great source of information!
Kate Jones, an ordinary girl of quiet character, lives in town and is 19 years old. She goes to college and tries to earn money by working part-time at a small cafe on the outskirts of town. She has a personal grudge against Dollmaker because he killed Kate's boyfriend.
Recently, a girl whose name no one knows yet has come to town. She travels around the country looking for inspiration for her book and music album. The story about the Dollmaker sparked the young writer's interest and she decided to find out more about what was going on from the people of this town.
Can these people solve Pointville's biggest problem and catch the Dollmaker?
"If you're brave enough and not afraid of some urban legends, you might like my story about the Dollmaker. He's only recently appeared in our city, just a couple of months ago. But he has already managed to resonate in society with his brutal murders. The victims are young men under the age of 27, mostly guys. He likes to butcher his victims, tear off their limbs, mock them before he kills the unfortunate man who is just as inquisitive as you are.
He only comes at night and only when you are alone with yourself. First he psychologically pressures you to start panicking. Panic and agony give him pleasure, so he will terrorize you until you are emotionally exhausted. The Dollmaker will be around all the time, but won't attack until you're tired or let your guard down.
And then the fun begins: he will slowly tear you apart and enjoy every outcry on your part. He will slowly destroy you for just being inquisitive. And then you will just go quiet and he will disappear.
He hates it when people record anything on camera. He especially hates it when someone tries to film him...
