What do you think?

Aaah, dragon and adventure ala Legend of Zelda, two of my favorites are in one game

Anyways, it starts real rough with only fists but after getting the sword and getting used to fighting, finally managed to get deeper and found many things such as staff, hammer, mimics ;), health and mana upgrade and also water sole

I'll continue playing to find more

BTW I find it funny that fire slimes could get damaged by fire

Aside from the repetitive nature of the gameplay, it's very fun

A mysterious dark power lurks within the nearby temple, locked up out of reach. Inhabitants of the world have already begun being taken, killed, or turned into beasts. It's up to you, the only remaining one fit and brave enough for the task, to find a way in and put a stop to this before all is lost!

This game is clearly inspired by The Legend of Zelda (specifically the old 2D ones) in various ways, but with extra features, such as weapon/magic upgrading, passive bonuses from equipping accessories, etc.

Explore the world as best you can with the abilities you have at the time, to find treasures and new abilities, defeat monsters, and find some way to access the Temple grounds to save the world!

This is kind of a demo of a larger game that I plan to make, with many more locations, and different varieties of everything seen in this. But this is it's own standalone mini-adventure, and it's map will be unique to this game, so there's no need to wait for the full game!
It also comes with built-in randomisation options, for replayability!

Thank you for interest in this game, and for reading this!

I hope you enjoy your time with Dragon Dreams: A Taste of Adventure!

Apologies for the lack of rebindable controls in this game; By the time I realized this was becoming more than a quick little experiment, turning into a serious series I want to make, the fixed controls were so deeply ingrained that it became very difficult to go back and change it...

You may need to use a manual rebinding program like JoyToKey or Xpadder if you wish to change them, but here are the main controls, followed by less important ones:

Movement -        Arrow Keys
Dash (wth modifier) -    Shift
Attack/Confirm -    X
Magic/Cancel -        Z
Use Potion -        C
Inventory -        Space Bar
Map -            Tab

Return to Shrine -    Q
Quick Weapon Switch -    1, 2, 3, 4
Quick Magic Switch -    5, 6, 7, 8
Prev/Next Potion -    A, S
Prev/Next Artifact -    D, F

Pause -            Ctrl + P
Mute -            Ctrl + M
Quit to Menu -        F2

Game is now available for free download! Good luck, hope you enjoy!

It's almost here, Dragon Dreams releases in about 28 hours!

Glad I took an extra week for testing, instead of excitedly rushing it out. Found a bunch of little bugs/things to change. Feels good to iron them out.

It's finally done!

Giving myself a week for more test plays and stuff, just to make extra sure everything's ready, then I plan to release it on Friday evening, August 2nd!

Mark those calendars, it's almost time for a taste of adventure!

Just put the finishing touches on Dragon Dreams, and finished writing the guide/documentation. Just a handful more test runs to do now. Unless bugs are found, or other disaster strikes, the game is ready for release probably around the end of the month!
