After a month of learning how to code in Gamemaker, here is a prototype for a "run and gun" game I am working on. It is not the best thing in the world, but I learned a ton while working on it. The point of this prototype is to get feedback on what to work on, suggestions, recommendations etc.

I recommend using a Xbox Wired Controller. This isn't really meant for the Keyboard

Controls/Xbox Controller:

Left Analog Stick = Move plus to shoot in 8 directions

A = Jump

B = Shoot

X = Super Mode(The Bar Must be Blue to activate)

Left Shoulder Button = Lock(It will lock the player in place so you can

shoot more accurately).

Right Shoulder Button = Dash Move

Items:

The small orange block the player can absorb for the meter. when you collect enough of them the meter will turn blue, enabling you to use "Super Mode".

There is a blue square called "MG"(which means machine gun). it fires projectiles at a faster rate and speed. There were going to be more weapons, but I couldn't code them in time and I didn't like how they turned out.

There is one boss and once you defeat him, you can press the R button the keyboard to restart the game. You can use the R button to restart the level. I think when you press it, even at the boss it takes you back to the main level.

Well, I hope you enjoy :) #shooter #other #analog
