Real good, I'm excited!!!

Imagine an RPG reminicsent of the first Final Fantasy game on the NES...

Your goal, as the player, is to control four heroes on their journey to restore peace and order to the land known as Inari. These four heroes must work together to balance their strengths and weaknesses and restore the 7 Kitsune Crystals to the land. But with monsters to stop and challenges to overcome, will these heroes succeed in their quest for everlasting peace?

What You Can Expect:

  • Different classes for unique styles of combat

  • Multiple spells for clearing battles, with several abilities

    • An MP system, unlike the first Final Fantasy

  • Dungeons chock full of loot to explore

    • Many enemies and difficult bosses to strategize against

  • Many weapons and pieces of armor to help aid you in battle with unique abilities and drawbacks

  • Retro style music, composed in FL Studio and Org Maker, with additional tracks composed in Jummbox and BeepBox

Mild Fantasy Violence

Part of the challenge of making a game is learning the game engine. If I wanna make a good game, I need to learn RPG Maker 2003 and its event based coding. Hopefully the events won’t be a mess! But I’ll have comments for most things in the game files.

The first inn is done! Mostly. Probably needs a track and some more stuff, but that’s done. Now I gotta do… everything else in the first town.

I also realized that if I’m bored, I can add random stuff because why not! As you might see.

Fox Fighters will be available to play in multiple languages… what languages would you like to see? Currently I have plans for Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian support.

Also, should each language of the game be a separate build or be in one?

Woah? Some gameplay for Fox Fighters?

Currently it’s just a bit of a walking simulator (and a short one at that) but I hope to eventually change that :P

Also, on another note… might redo the main theme. I just… don’t really like it now.

Edited the game page to match the current team!

In Inari, there are chop proof trees in the game. Yes, they exist purely to be “natural barriers.”

The only way to clear the trees? Explosives, of course! There will be an NPC that will explain more once I manage to get a demo out for Fox Fighters.

Decided to do some world building stuff today! Will probably do more in a bit.

Testing out random variables and events with conditional flags!
