Green's Dungeon is a Text-Based Choose Your Own Adventure game with RPG elements, inspired by the classic role games.
You will get in the shoes of the 3 main characters of this fantastical story of the Sword & Sorcery genre.
Hausell, The Silver Knight and ex-commander of the Holy Defenders; Layra of Samuria, heiress to the Samurian throne; W'Ksha, the Great Shaman, leader of the Sosamites.
They are all locked up in the infamous prison known as Green's Dungeon. They need to escape before the Bloodmoon arrives and are given as sacrifices to the demigod Fenriswolf. Will they be able to?
In your getaway you will encounter obstacles, plot-twists, tough decisions and enemies to defeat.
The vibrant battle system adds a great balance between slow-paced interesting narrative and a fast-paced action-driven RPG. The game goes in long story-telling tangents when it has to, but spices things up with fights at the right moment, keeping things interesting and engaging.
Experience and decide the different Points of view of the characters and how their stories intertwine in a non-linear fashion, playing a decisive role in each storyline.
A cast of supporting characters and world events help the overarching story feel fresh and alive.
Setting
The main setting of the game is the eponymous Green's Dungeon. An underground maze-like complex from ancient mystic origins. The dwelling of the mighty Fenriswolf is known to be a tool for the Kingdom of Mateeria to oppress its subjects. However, even more sinister secrets hide beneath the infamous prison.
Likewise, you will explore other regions of the world of Mateeria, such as The Catacombs of the Netherworld, Sosam of the Seas and the Great Desert.
Story
The story is character-driven, and you, as the player, get to decide the fate of them. The three main storylines get intertwined at multiple points and you will be able to explore the different sides of the story from multiple points of view.
Every character in the maze is trying to escape, whether they claim themselves innocent for the crimes they were accused for, or they simply do not intend to stay locked in.
Each character has a backstory of their own. Explore them as you try to escape by making—what you think are—the right choices.
