Hamer

Version: 0.1.219 days ago

Note: Future ports or things I make will likely be on the Homebrew Store or GitHub, I might only announce games on here from now on or publish PC stuff (or low-quality PS4 ports if I continue on with that).

Instructions to install

Automatic (Recommended):

  1. Install the HB-Store (see https://pkg-zone.com for instructions)

  2. Launch the Homebrew Store and find the port through search. This also allows for auto-updating, too!

Manual:

  1. Jailbreak your PS4 and install GoldHEN. Modded Warfare has some great videos on this, the latest jailbreakable firmware (which I have also tested on) is 12.02.

  2. Download the latest version of the PKG from https://github.com/smolkrieger/hamer-ps4/releases and copy it to a USB formatted as exFAT or FAT32 (I recommend exFAT).

  3. Install the game through GoldHEN's package installer.

  4. Launch the game and play!

Controls

Cross/X - Interact (Hide, grab items, click buttons, open doors, use item, etc)
Circle - Crouch/uncrouch
Square - Drop items
Triangle - Leave hiding spot
Left Stick - Movement
Right Stick - Look around
Touchpad - Look around (like trackpad)

Other

This is a PS4 port of the #horror game Hamer, which Markiplier played in a 3 Scary Games video. From what I can find in the project files, the original creator seems to be named "Mogong", and the killer's name in the game is Ethan according to his model and references in the hierarchy?

The source code is now released, see above!

Thanks for reading! #puzzle #other #port

only not really good or polished ps4 ports will really be posted here ig, idrk

new update 0.1.1, it fixes the crouch icon being so stretched as seen in the video, haven't tested it tho, but it shouldn't run any different from 0.1.0

ps4 hamer, working and proof of build, just to show how it works, controls and stuff

i forgot to mention that the touchpad you can use as a sort of mousepad to look around, idk why it works, but if the right stick is too fast, you can use that too

officially ported to ps4! tbh im a little more proud of this port than i am of the baldis basics one

i might try to use chiaki to record the screen later as well as for screenshots as i still dont have an hdmi capture device
