Computer Dev Tycoon begins in the 1980s. You take control of a new computer manufacturing company while combating the top dogs for a position in the market. Build a variety of rooms such as R&D, Hardware Construction, Offices, Customer Support, Staff Room, and many more.
Develop Hardware of your own, and Software in which to use on your computers, or competing computers. Software available are Game, Audio Tool, Visual Tool, Game Engine, Networking Tool, Office Tool (This may be sold and used in your own office to improve productivity), Management Tools, and real-world applications.

Hardware Dev Tycoon’s framework is being remade, due to glitches in the code and sloppiness overall. The re-programming should have a positive impact on performance, and may allow users to create their own mods for the game.
