I thought the graphics were minimalist and detailed at the same time, which is great. Also, great use of presenting the subtitles, it was very creative. The voice actor didn't feel like it fit at first, but I got used to it quickly. I did like the story up to the point where he got sucked up by the beam. imo, I didn't like the turn to sci-fi it made. I would have much preferred it to stay in that sorrowful, run down detective vibe. It felt like it was building up to that moment where all the pieces come together and you solve the case. You would find closure for about your partner and would be able to move on in life.
...but maybe you meant to do that to catch me off guard. In either case, it was a fantastic little game.

nice voxel graphics, good noir atmosphere, very stylish typographics. Good job. I think it deserved the top-2 in best visuals.
Very short but has potential, if you revisit it and decide to continue maybe add more the player can do without being directed to it.
