UNDERTALE: The Hated Number Story
Once upon a time, two races ruled over EARTH, HUMANS and MONSTERS.
One day, war broke out between the two races.
This is a story you have already heard, however...
Many years later, a human fell down to the Mountain Ebott, The 8th human to fall, and a unique one.
This human had so great DETERMINATION that allowed him to restart the 'Game' as much as they wanted to.
The human, instead of using this power for good, turned the monsters lives into HELL.
The human started killing every monster on a loop, fooling all of them.
However, some of noticed things that were off in their behavior.
It was a skeleton called "Sans" that realized what was happening.
He knew that it was impossible to win against the player, so he had to stop the human from advancing their "story".
Despite his best efforts to stop them from proceeding with their goals...
He was tragically struck down, a fate he had already accepted as invetable.
The player erased the world, causing Sans to forget everything in the timeline.
The player continued to wipe out the monster race on a constant loop, damaging the timeline more and more...
In the 150th massacre, Sans was preparing for the fight again.
He stopped to get some water in the Hotlands, and decined to go to Alphys' lab to check on how the evacuation was going.
He entered her lab and was unable to find her, so he decided to look around for her.
As Sans searched, He noticed a very strange elevator. Curiousity told him to go in, to find out where it led to.
He entered the elevator and clicked the button that would take him to the lower floor.
As it descended, it began to accelerate rapidly, causing Sans to damage his jacket against the walls.
The elevator door had opened, displaying a seperate laboratory from the one he was used to.
Unsure of what to expect, he began to explore the new area.
As he ventured throughout this lab, he saw a number of data entries detailing the effect human DETERMINATION seemed to have.
Eventually, he noticed there was a room far more closed-off from the rest.
He pried open the door, and a strange locket had caught his eye.
There was a notebook filled with strange symbols he didn't recognize, but could seemingly understand.
The locket had the ability to change any object into another, given a few requirements had been met.
Sans, testing it out, discovered that it was true, but was unstable and random.
He came up with a theory from his experiences with objects around the Underground that certain things had values attached to them.
Testing it, he discovered he could control it perfectly through the "power of numbers".
With this newfound realization, he gathered equipment that would allow him to last longer in his battle with the human.
With everything on the line, he had to make sure this battle COUNTED.
