i like the game so far, and holy HELL this game is hard, ive died to EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE ENEMY in the first area
I’ve looked over this all based on what I’ve seen in the creator’s doc, and I gotta say… this game needs work. It doesn’t seem to have grown enough past its roots as an Undertale fan game - to be inspired as one thing, but this still feels like a bit of a shoddy reskin. The artstyle isn’t terribly pleasant - if I had to look at that main character all game, I’d find it hard to get endeared to him. The topless knight in pink underwear also seems… excessive. Like it wants to be the guards from Undertale, but misses the point of what made them endearing.
The music is… fine. It’s nothing I’d write home about, but it’s serviceable. It’d like get grating hearing that organ over and over again, and it doesn’t really evoke a witchy vibe like the creator seems to want. It sounds like stock Halloween music.
I get that all of the things in the Google Doc are beta content, and perhaps it will grow past that! But I’ll be honest - I don’t know that I have terribly high hopes for Twisted Fates. I don’t trust it’ll bring anything unique to the table, and maybe it’d be for the best if this one stayed in the Dark Ages instead of 2025.
happy to be proven wrong if I am though!

A good friend and I will be working hard to make this a reality! Taking place in a world based off the Middle Ages/Renaissance eras, this game will focus on a human w/ a dark secret dropped into a world of monsters. This, of course, will take HEAVY inspiration from Undertale, Deltarune, Deltatraveler, Undertale Yellow, and TS!Underswap.
The story is basically that a human man flees the kingdom he lived in to the neighboring kingdom of monsters, ultimately becoming a squire there to a knight who has taken interest in him for some strange reason. Follow this man as he is tasked to help various monsters w/ their issues and befriend them as you also uncover his past.
Unlike in most Undertale-based games, killing isn't possible in this one, though that doesn't mean your choices are entirely meaningless.
