RapunZpill: Clean the Spill

ABOUT THIS GAME

This game was proudly developed by UP Science 11 students Ghann R. Medina & Keirthrieann Denise A. Ramirez, inspired by the research study of Ferido et al., titled:

“RAPUNZPILL: Automated Oil Spill Cleaning System with the Use of Human and Canine Hair.”

The gameplay reflects real-world scientific innovation, turning their prototype into an engaging interactive experience where players collect hair, build an oil-absorbing boom, assemble a robot, and clean up oil spills.

GAMEPLAY

STAGE 1: Hair-to-Boom

Objective:

Collect human and canine hair to prepare the hair boom.

How to Play:

1. Cut Human Hair

Drag the scissors onto the human's head.

Every snip creates a hair clump and increases your progress.

Collect 5 to move to the next step.

2. Brush the Dog

Now use the brush and gently drag it over the fluffy dog.

Every brush makes dog hair fall off.

Collect 5 more clumps.

Note: Don’t rush or click too fast — smooth dragging ensures the game works properly.

STAGE 1.5: Boom Assembly

Objective:

Drag collected hair into the boom tube and fully pack it.

How to Play:

1. Drag each Hair Clump into the correct Boom Tube segment.

2. When the tube is filled, the Hair Boom is ready for deployment.

STAGE 2: RapunBuild

Objective:

Assemble the RapunZpill robot by connecting its parts.

How to Play:

1. Drag components into their correct positions on the blueprint based on the definition.

2. Snap them into place when they touch the correct area.

3. Once all parts are connected, RapunZpill powers up.

Parts to place:

Arduino Uno, Arduino Mega, Stepper Motor, DC Motors, Servo Motor, Ultrasonic Sensor, Motor Drivers, Bluetooth Module

STAGE 3: Clean the Zpill

Objective:

Control RapunZpill to clean up oil spills and save the ocean.

Controls:

ARROW LEFT / ARROW RIGHT → Turn left/right

ARROW UP / ARROW DOWN → Move forward/backward

How to Play:

1. Clean Oil

Let the RapunZpill touch oil blobs.

Each blob adds +10 points.

2. Avoid Obstacles

Avoid rocks, shells, marine animals.

If the sensor detects danger, the robot tries to dodge it.

3. Battery Management

Your battery depletes over time.

Collect Solar Boosters to refill it.

Win Conditions:

Collect 90% of the oil blobs.

Battery doesn’t hit 0.

Lose Conditions:

Battery reaches 0%.

You crash into obstacles 3 times. #adventure
