Overview

"Rise of the Penguins" is a 2D Side-Scrolling  Action-Platformer for Gameboy. The game is meant to be simple and linear but with some challenging enemies. The game is inspired by ghost n goblins and a bit of mega man.

Features

• 6 levels with a variety of enemies in each level

• 4 mini boss enemies and 4 boss enemies and a final boss

• Extra's section: boss rush mode after beating game featuring the 2 KS bosses, 2 extra levels that have a mini boss and boss in each as well.

• 6 simple difficulty settings to adjust checkpoints to make the game harder or easier, with checkpoints resetting after a game over but modifiable through these settings.

• Basic hud that shows the highscore, health and time remaining

• Janky animations made by me

• Minimal story with no text -but hoping the game is engaging enough to keep playing
