I am very much looking forward to playing this game. The second I read "Dark magic has trapped you in your own mind", my excitement level went through the roof. A game universe set inside someones mind, I mean seriously, how can you not get excited about something like that. Anything could be awaiting you around any and every corner, with everything you encounter teaching you a little bit more about your character. Changes in your characters mood could cause new places or objects to appear, or it could alter the environment entirely. Npcs you encounter (if you encounter any) could be fragments of a long lost memory, or someone trying to speak to you from reality. This is the type of thing I'm always on the look out for during my countless hours of browsing on GameJolt. An intriguing concept that leaves you overwhelmed with curiosity, being taken on by a new and passionate developer who seems just as excited and interested in creating the game as I am in playing it. Looking forward to seeing all the surprises that are in store for miss Scarletta Roseblood.
Scarletta Roseblood is a game that I got the idea for at my job. While many things may change the things I have stuck with are the main character's name (Scarletta) and the main plot:
Dark magic (released by your son) has trapped you in your own mind. You must escape this prison layed out within your own mind to fend off the dark magic and save you and your son.
This is my first attempt at a game that I plan to finish. I know the plot may not be the best but it was an interesting idea that I wish to expand upon and if you have any ideas of your own please feel free to share them as this is VERY early on in development.
Also yes I am using the default built in tiles and character generator, for as I said I am very new at this and wish to focus mainly on plot and other things until I get the hang of this game design thing. If this game actually works out well I may redesign it using my own tilesets and whatnot made from scratch but hey that is way off in the future. I only have the foundation so far.
